Bright red denim is quilted in V-shaped lines with black heavy duty thread, for a textured, high-relief effect. In contrast, the back of the bag is black heavy duty marine vinyl, with a single deep pocket. The bag is fully lined in diamond-quilted red cotton, with a generously sized welt zipper pocket. 

Layers of interlining and double stitching throughout make the 517 tote sturdy enough for daily use, but not heavy or cumbersome to carry.
